SUPPORT US IN GETTING THE WORLD'S FIRST EARLY DETECTION TEST
FOR OVARIAN CANCER TO CLINICAL TRIALS.
OVARIES. TALK ABOUT THEM.
Ovaries. Talk About Them. is a global movement led by The CAMILLA AND MARC Foundation to transform the future of ovarian cancer—currently the deadliest female cancer.
In 2025, the fact that there is still no early detection test—despite almost 300,000 women being diagnosed globally each year— is simply not good enough. Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman, founders of CAMILLA AND MARC were just 11 and 13 years old when they lost their mother, Pamela, to ovarian cancer. She was 42. That profound loss devastated their family and forever changed the course of their lives.
Since their mother’s passing, the statistics haven’t shifted — and still, no early detection test exists. Chronic underfunding and systemic inequality in women’s healthcare have meant this disease has remained overlooked for far too long.

CAMPAIGNING FOR CHANGE
In 2020, CAMILLA AND MARC launched it’s first Ovarian Cancer Awareness Campaign. Since then the annual campaign has gained international recognition, including an award from the World Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
The #OvariesTalkAboutThem campaign aims to bring together an army of advocates to stand by all those who are affected by this disease to make a significant change.
Many famous faces have dedicated their time to support this cause and previous campaigns have feaured the likes of Naomi Watts, Georgia Fowler and Sabrina Elba amongst other notable faces both from Australia and internationally.
Since launching in 2020, the campaign has raised over $2.5 million in medical research funding, through 100% of proceeds from the associated fashion collection and public donations. These funds have enabled a world-first research initiative led by Professor Caroline Ford and her all-female team at the UNSW Gynaecological Cancer Research Group.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO TO?
100% of proceeds go directly to medical research including to getting the world’s first DNA based early detection test to clinical
trials in the next year.
Led by Professor Caroline Ford, Dr Kristina Warton and the team of scientists at the UNSW Gynaecological Cancer Research Group, this world-leading research is powered by funds raised through Ovaries. Talk About Them. To date, have raised over $2.5 million which has enabled Professor Caroline Ford to employ key scientists to super charge this early detection research. Money has also been spent on vital infrastructure and equipment such as a Quantative PCR Machine, Freezers for blood bio-banking, Qubit Machine and Liquid Handling Robot.
"We’re on the verge of a scientific breakthrough that could fundamentally change outcomes for people with ovarian cancer around the world. Early detection is the missing piece—and we’re closer than ever to delivering it," says Professor Caroline Ford, UNSW.
Over the last five years Ovaries. Talk About Them. has done more than raise money - it has raised global awareness, sparked conversation, and funded ground-breaking medical research. Following years of transformative research and a relentless pursuit of the 2026 goal, the team is now just one step away from a world-first breakthrough. After identifying three highly specific DNA biomarkers in 2024, current work is focused on combining them into a single, highly sensitive blood test - a rigorous process known as multiplexing. This represents the final step to get the test to clinical trials to assess the real-world effectiveness of what could become the world’s first early detection test for ovarian cancer.
